ENLISTMENT OF SUPPLY TEACHERS (SECONDARY)
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, TERTIARY EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates outside the service who wish
to be considered for enlistment as Supply Teacher for the teaching of the subjects listed
below in State Secondary Schools/Colleges. Supply Teachers will be enlisted on a purely
temporary basis, as and when required, during the next academic year starting in JUNE
2021 and ending in MARCH 2022:

13. Home Economics - Design and Textiles

16. Mathematics
17. Physics
18. Social Studies
19. Sociology
20. Travel and Tourism
21. Urdu
22. Physical Education
23. Arabic
24. Design and Communication/ Design and Technology

26. Marathi
27. Tamil
28. Telugu
29. Music (Western)
30. Music (Vocal) - Hindustani
31. Music (Vocal) - Carnatic
32. Music (Instrumental) - Tabla

2. AGE LIMIT
Candidates should not have reached their 65th birthday by the closing date for the
submission of applications. However, priority of consideration will be given to young
graduates with the required qualifications. In scarcity areas, the services of candidates up
to 65 years will be enlisted.
3. QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should possess:-
A.1 (i) (a) a Cambridge School Certificate with credit in at least five subjects
including English Language obtained at not more than two sittings or
(b) Passes not below Grade C in at least five subjects including English
Language obtained at not more than two sittings at the General
Certificate of Education "Ordinary Level" provided that at one of the
sittings, passes have been obtained either (i) in five subjects including
English Language with at least Grade C in any two subjects or (ii) in six
subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any one
subject;
(ii) a Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects
obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education
"Advanced Level"; and

(iii) a degree or joint degree from a recognised institution in the subject to
be taught.
Note
(a) Qualification at (i) above should have been obtained prior to qualification at
(ii) above; and
(b) Qualification at (ii) above should have been obtained prior to qualification
at (iii) above.
OR
A.2 (i) (a) a Cambridge School Certificate with credit in at least five subjects
including English Language obtained at not more than two sittings or
(b) Passes not below Grade C in at least five subjects including English
Language obtained at not more than two sittings at the General
Certificate of Education "Ordinary Level" provided that at one of the
sittings, passes have been obtained either (i) in five subjects including
English Language with at least Grade C in any two subjects or (ii) in six
subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any one
subject;
(ii) a degree or joint degree from a recognised institution in the subject to be
taught; and
(iii) a postgraduate Certificate in Education from a recognised institution or
a Master's Degree from a recognised institution.
Note
Qualification at (i) above should have been obtained prior to qualification at (ii)
above.
OR
B.1 (i) (a) a Cambridge School Certificate with credit in at least five subjects
including English Language obtained at not more than two sittings or
(b) Passes not below Grade C in at least five subjects including English
Language obtained at not more than two sittings at the General
Certificate of Education "Ordinary Level" provided that at one of the
sittings, passes have been obtained either (i) in five subjects including
English Language with at least Grade C in any two subjects or (ii) in six
