What is the formula for parametric equations? y ′ ( t ) = ( y 1 ′ ( t ) , … , y n ′ ( t ) ) . {displaystyle mathbf {y} ' (t)= (y'_ {1} (t),ldots ,y'_ {n} (t)).} if the limit exists. The subtraction in the numerator is the subtraction of vectors, not scalars. If the derivative of y exists for every value of t, then y ′ is another vector-valued function.
